Day 1
- A
rrive in Wellington and spend the day exploring the city's sights, including the national museum Te Papa, the cable car and Botanic Gardens, the waterfront, and the shopping areas around Lambton Quay, Manners Mall and Cuba Street.
- Spend the day shopping in Cuba Street, Lambton Quay & Willis Street.
- Stay overnight in Wellington with Host Accommodaton
Day 2
- Visit Zealandia Wildlife Sanctury, Wellington Zoo and Museum of Wellington City & Sea.
- Spend the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens. Travel via the Wellington Cable Car from Lambton Quay.
- Dine at any of the capital's restaurants centred around Courtenay Place, Cuba Street and the waterfront.
- For evening entertainment, check out the nightlife at Courtenay Precinct, Wellington's 'neon playground'.

Day 3
- Drive to Paraparaumu, calling at the Lindale Tourist and Agricultural Centre for morning tea before visiting the Southward Vintage Car Museum.
- Take a fishing, diving or sightseeing excursion to the wildlife sanctuary of Kapiti Island from Paraparaumu (you will need a visitors permit from the township's Department of Conservation office).

Day 4
- Drive to Palmerston North.
- Call at the three-in-one Te Aweawe complex, which incorporates the Science Centre & Manawatu Museum and the Manawatu Art Gallery.
- The New Zealand Rugby Museum is also worth a visit. Have morning tea at Wharerata Homestead.
- Visit the Windmills on the Saddle Road. Explore Awaiti gardens,Queen elizabeth Park and the Manawatu Cultural centre for local a local art,history and science experience.
- Explore Victoria Esplanade, a large park near the bridge over the Manawatu River, has riverside walks, gardens, a swimming pool and a minture railway. The more adventurous can explore the spectacular Manawatu Gorge by jet boat or Kayak, a few kilometres to the east of the city. Trips on the river can be arranged in Palmerston North.

Day 5
- Drive to to Masterton in the Wairarapa region via the Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre. Vist the local vineyards in the region.

Day 6
- Visit the region's townships, including Carterton, with its paua shell factory offering free tours; Wairarapa's oldest township, Greytown, from where you can visit the spectacular Waiohine Gorge; and Featherston, with its unique Fell Engine, heritage museums and antique shops.
- Drive to Martinborough.
- Take a tour or guide yourself around the township's wineries and arts and craft outlets.
- Visit the historic Ruakokoputana Hotel and the glow-worm caves, or take a guided walk through the Patuna chasm. Visit Castle Point Beach and walk to Castle Rock Light House.
